Using the fence in the small arena as a basket has a good rickety-rim, backyard feel; there are two methods for handling the heads:

If I recall , you can't affiliate the fillup with limb or head , but you have to set it as a whole or nither as far as I remember looking at headball zone info's. The rest I'm still pondering.

Nah; we're doing this from the gound up. Anything goes.

Indeed , in that case i'd say 2 for the head and a fillup for the limb.

Good stuff, the prelim work and the light. This puts me in the frame of mind for some of:'The Game Played in Heaven'-Canadians, Americans and Romanians are here too!

Classic, Mid; from talking to Fais, importation is the other issue.

Just one question... Why will it be two points? Why not make it one point and have the number of points required to win divided by two? I have a suggestion to make decapatations more common. Make it a no shield area.

yeah, i kinda like that idea to rhoedd

No shield.... by why the one point? how about 2.... seems more sporty. All the one point per score sports are uber boring to watch... cept for hokey sometimes.

I guess maybe it'd be worthwhile to have 2 instead of 1 point since you have to actually pick it up and get it into the window. This is so that perhaps severed limbs can be worth 1 point, also. And having tried it a tad with the Roman, it's not too shabby a reward for ACTUALLY severing and scoring, if Unter decides not to make us all surgeons at amputation by coding. Don't forget that it'll be in the present boxing arena, integrated into that particular arena map, so FFA and 1v1 may be going on too. One more thing, I understand the plan right now is for "FFA Headball"; but the idea of a lever toggling that arena to a "2v2 Headball" (or 3v3+) is intriguing. Looks like the HOV(Headball, Arena) cd has worthy competition...

yea, a "switch" of sorts would be a great thing to have. all hov arena servers have one thing in common, they need constant policing. lca is already one step ahead in that players can group and kick someone off without an admin, something that is not heard of on a hov server. it would be great if the same concept could be applied to 2on2 1on1 switching. this uneque feature, if implemented, would attract alot of runers and might become an answer to deidelizing (wow) the second server. p.s. i think the small arena is, just that, too small for headball.

I'd have to agree with Shady with the size of the arena being a factor. A little hard to get a game going in such cramped quarters, but I have no clue what you can do about that. Maybe switch the 1 vs 1 arena to the smaller arena during a headball match. 2 duelers don't need THAT much room to fight, and the 1vs1 arena would be a pretty nice size for the headball idea. Besides, it would help keep a duel interesting since they would actually have to get within a sword's swing from each other more often while in the smaller arena.

I fully agree with that! This HB thing is sounding awesome. Being that I have only played HB 1 on 1 on a LAN it should be way more fun with a bunch of people playing it.
