four digits? wow... Our server is one of the most reliable in Rune and we probably have the very best "Clan/Club" web site in Rune as well. While all of this is fine and dandy, it must be realized that this comes with an immense price. Even if it seems our dues might not make a huge dent in the costs as a whole, it is certainly a gesture of good faith. You must admit, many of you wouldn't be playing Rune anymore if it weren't for LowCal. It's more than just being able to mute/kick/members board/ etc. It's a small token of appreciation. Other things you can purchase for $20: CD DVD Tank of Gas A couple of number 3's at McDonald's 26 issues of Sports Illustrated A Fry-Daddy Personal Deep Fryer 2 weeks of High Speed Internet 1 or even 2 months of Dial-up service Twenty Dollars isn't much... | |||

I like that, Imp. One possibility is a members-only server where the sky would be the limit; we could make a mod-pack available for download from the Red Carpet forum. If the skins were under, say, 400k; we might be able to add that to the public server. We should think about keeping a bare-bones server for general usage, though. | |||

Smaller than 400Kb? can't do it: one texture is around 90Kb, and a complete modified skin has 4 textures. And another thing: i still think that adult members should contribute with 50$/year(4.1/month)...or at least the officers. | |||

how large would Town Ragnar be if he only had a different shirt color? It's rare you run into a Town Ragnar but I don't like when I do. All I was thinking was him having a crimson shirt. | |||

The only problem I see with this is it will drastically decrease the amount of members willing to sign up, which means the community will not grow, it may even shrink given we already have quite a few members and likely not all would be willing to pay. | |||

Actually, Imp; it goes directly into supporting the Club and its on-line facilities. Members should not labour under the mistaken impression that because cyber-space is abstract, it also operates on good-will. Our ongoing survival is an end in itself, and the purpose of dues; you don't need to look any further than this post if you're still asking, "wherefore dues?" | |||

hehe peopel will buy anything nowadays eh? Well look its liek this guys.. the Club is GREAT, trust me its opened me up to a whole new rune world. But as of now i refuse to pay. As soon as you give me an arena, where i can fight someone 1 on 1 and dont have to have Imp or manowar saying "WATCH YOUR BAK" because some n'sync groupie is chargine my back with a bone club, then ill pay. But as long as its the same as any other room with a cool decal on the wall, im sorry but ill have to pass. | |||
