Hey im sure you all know about this mod (www.thesoulkeeper.com) that was started by rune players as a total conversion for UT2003/2004. Well they got a beta out now! but you have to register a clan or join a clan to play the beta. So if 5 of you guys are interested in this I was thinking about signing up the LCC.

Is UT2K4 $20 yet?

HOLY CRAP!! A Rune-like mod? Man, I was there a while ago (linked from Runegame?) but I had no no no idea this was a Rune-like mod for UT2004, I thought it was a real game. That's so awesome, I was hoping for something like this .

Thanks for telling Socket, I'll sign up with you. Kwakhed should, too... don't know who else has it and it is hard to find new recruits but we'll see who is still interested .

And no... it is $40. My copy was $60 when it was bought (second it came out), glad I didn't have to buy it... but uh, it is worth it. I know when you played the demo you quit pretty quick and we ended up playing BF instead but ignore previous perceptions and try the demo out again or something. The game is massive and kicks ass especially with mods like Red Orchestra and now this .

Wee I hope we can get the beta.

Why don`t they just change Unreal Engine in Rune to the Karma? Just as CS Source. I think it`s all perfect in Rune exept the engine.

When does UT2K5 come out? I thought I read somewhere that it'll be in January.. but right AFTER christmas is a dumb time to release a game.

I'm sure there will be a correlation between 2K4 going $20 and 2K5's release.

Umm... UT2004 is still one of the biggest games in the PC world and UT2003 isn't too cheap (but on xmas2k3 I got it for $20)... I don't expect it to go $20 for a really long time.

As for UT2005... wtf? There is none, hasn't even been announced... don't know where you heard it from . Would suck to have a 2005, too... I wouldn't buy it... way too soon to release it, plus unless UT2005 released at $20-30 it'd be worthless, what more is there to add? Though we might see a 2006 or 2007 with the Unreal 3 engine. As for now the only game announced to be on Unreal3 is not an Unreal game but rather a new, different game for once.

i'd love to play . . . except my UT04 cd key is invalid cuz i don't have a legal copy of the game . . . and i guess it doesn't matter anyway cuz WoW has eaten my life . . . i'm in the open beta and soon the game is released and i'm afraid that my college grades are gonna flop cuz WoW is SUCH an addiction . . .

Here are a few simple steps you need to follow as a registered clan.
Please register on the forums (http://www.thesoulkeeper.com/clanforums/) and
have your clan members do the same. Upon registration on our forums, please
use your clan's tag before or after your names so that we can easily
recognize the clan you represent.
In addition decide which Race of the available three you want to use for
your clan. This decission needs not to
be final, but it will assist us in the development as well as the Beta
Testing process, therefore it is required. Once you and your members have
registered on our Clan forums, and you have emailed us back the Race of your
choice we will grant you access to the private sections and to sections
visible only to clans that have selected a Race, and assign you special
ranks related to the race you have chosen.


The available clans at this moment are: Artedians (knights), Degathians
(barbarians), Rothag (undead). Rothag are still under development, therefore
there are no in-game shots of them as of this moment. You can find info on
any of the three SK Races by visiting

We have also attached a document which describes in detail the way our SK
Clan System will work.


Once we have received the email with the chosen race, we will email you the

Hey, nice... whose names did you include when registering the clan?

I forgot to sign up on the forum with my name... damn... oh well. Maybe they can change it for me.

P.S. Brutus, if you get the game I'll be glad to have you among the club roster for the game as you need to be in a clan to play. That is, of course, if you have no place else.... otherwise in SK you're in with the LCC boys .

By side I mean race. We need to decide on a race then we will get the beta access.
I just put everyone's name on there. and then in brackets their status (have game, has game but no CD key, Will get game when cheaper, etc)

I dig the idea of the undead.. simply because I dig zombies.

I will be buying this game very soon.

Ok. I am down with that. Any objections?
BTW finally saw dawn of the dead when it came out on DVD, great movie!
