I understand freedom of speech and it's a wonderful creative process, but I wonder how easily it can be vandalised? For instance, I was able to add/edit stuff in Mano's sections on tutorials. I know if I made mistakes or was wrong in doing so, it's not going to be a problem because we understand each other and can discuss things through.

So apologies in advance, I'm quite into editing and "fine-tuning". I'd also hope for people to edit things I've entered - leave an "updated by..." (for example). It's all part of the process and I'd be fascinated to see how different/similar viewpoints are.

But yes, I worry about potential vandalism. I think it can be set up that only the author and/or members and minors can edit things. That would probably work perfectly.

Yes, perhaps periodically have a backed-up version somewhere or else would need to approve registration for those wanting to edit. But we'd like to see it "free", right?

Also, just found how the 'current events' section in wiki can be a 'whiteboard', and the 'private messenging' (but really public) system over in wiki. What do people want to use?
